County Pound 

The Hanover County Animal Control Pound Facility is located at 12471 Taylor Complex Lane, approximately two miles east of Ashland and four miles west of Hanover Courthouse, off of Route 54. It is a modern, full-service animal care building.

The pound facility functions include: specialized care of impounded animals, coordinating information for missing animals, assisting citizens with various animal related problems, quarantine and preparation for testing of animals involved with possible exposure to rabies, adoption of unwanted animals, maintain accurate computer records and collection of fees, and management of office work.
