Aubrey M. Stanley18055 Beaver Dam Road Aubrey M. "Bucky" Stanley is the dean of the Hanover County Board of Supervisors, having first been elected to represent the Beaverdam District in 1983. He has since been re-elected seven times and his 29 years of service on the Board are the most since Hanover’s current alignment of seven magisterial districts was created in 1965. Mr. Stanley served as the Board’s Chairman in 1989, 1998, 2003 and 2008 and was the Board’s Vice Chairman on two other occasions. Mr. Stanley has been a member of the Capital Region Airport Commission since 1986 and has twice been Chairman of that Commission, which oversees the Richmond International Airport. He also serves on the Capital Region Taxicab Advisory Board. He is the Chairman of the Board’s Facility Space Needs Committee and also serves on the Board’s Agricultural and Forestal Districts, Cannery, Finance and Safety and Security committees. “Bucky” is a native Hanoverian and attended public schools in Hanover as well as North Carolina State University. He is a consultant for AMS Timber. An avid fan softball fan, Mr. Stanley has managed and sponsored teams for more than 20 years, traveling to areas around the country to "play ball". He is also a lifetime member of the Virginia Jaycees.
