Elton J. Wade, Sr.5051 Crown Hill Road
Elton J. Wade, Sr. was first elected to the Board of Supervisors representing the Cold Harbor District in 1992 and is now serving his sixth term on the Board. He served as the Board’s Vice-Chairman in 1999. Mr. Wade has served on the Board’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee since 1992 and also serves on the Board’s Safety and Security Committee. He is a member of the Board’s Chickahominy Health District Advisory Board and the Metropolitan Richmond Air Quality Committee. For the last 24 years, Mr. Wade has been employed by Hanover County Public Schools as a Traffic Guard. He also was a Hanover County School Bus Driver for 26 years prior to that, meaning that he has surpassed 50 years in public service to Hanover County Public Schools. Mr. Wade graduated from John Marshall High School and attained the rank of Captain in the Corps of Cadets. Elton has lived in the Cold Harbor District for a half-century now. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and doing some occasional fishing.
