Comprehensive Services Act (CSA)
The Hanover CSA office implements the requirements of Virginia law designed to help troubled youths and their families, specifically those who may need services.

HanoverVolunteers
Hanover County and its residents have a strong commitment to volunteerism. The Hanover County Department of Community Resources works with local non-profit, health-related and governmental departments to maximize resources and services through collaboration and citizen engagement.  

Hanover Youth Service Council (HYSC)
The Hanover Youth Services Council is a group of middle and high school students selected from across the county whose purpose is to promote community involvement, volunteerism and leadership among the youth of Hanover County.

Hanover's Promise - The Alliance For Youth
Hanover's Promise, the Alliance for Youth is based within the Department and is focused on promoting and enhancing collaborative community efforts to ensure that all children and youth are provided the fundamental resources they need to succeed.

Information and Referral
The Department of Community Resources assists citizens by acting as a source of general human service information and providing referrals to various county departments and community programs.

Volunteer Home Repair Referral
The Volunteer Home Repair Referral Program was established to leverage volunteer and financial resources to address minor home repairs within the community.

Winterization
The Winterization Program was established to assist those in need with temporary heat saving protections from the winter cold. The project relies solely upon the support of the community for financial resources and volunteer manpower.
