There are several Workforce Centers in the Metro Richmond area that offer a variety of career and support services, including training and placement assistance. Trained professionals can help you locate and use information services to support your job search. Hanover County has a Workforce Center that is located at 8093 Elm Drive in Mechanicsville. The number is 559-3133. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Hanover County also has joined with other local jurisdictions to develop a Capital Region Employment Transition Center, designed to help meet the needs of more people with a greater variety of services. The Capital Region Employment Transition Center is located in Innsbrook within the old Innsbrook Library, 4060 Innslake Drive, in Glen Allen. Hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday.
