Welcome to Hanover County's Official Website!

We plan to provide information that is both useful and timely. This site is intended to be a work-in-progress. So naturally, the site will change and improve.

We hope that you can easily find what you are looking for on this site. If not, please let us know by sending an email message to the Web Administrator. Also, we're eager to get Your Feedback about the effectiveness of this web site.

Finding Information

• Use the navigation menu at the left side of each page. These major subject categories provide starting points for finding the information you need.
• Use the Home Page as a table of contents where links to major sections of the web site are listed in the left-hand column, as well as links to the Latest News Flashes. Also, we've provided Quick Links to our most requested pages, Special Notices, Other Items Of Interest.
• Use the Drop Down Menus in the upper-right corner of the page. They provide direct links to the most frequently accessed web pgs.
• Use the Site Search feature that appears on all pages to search by topic. It is located in the upper left-hand column at the top of each page.
• Go to our list of County Departments, County Services and Elected Officials which include contact information for the various departments and officials.
• Some of the information on the web site is provided in the "Portable Document Format" which requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader program be installed on your computer. If you need to install the Reader use the link provided below to download the free Reader.
  

Text Only Site

We provide a Text Only version of our web site that is most useful to persons using assistive reading devices. The text only web site is straight-text, there are no images and the page layout is greatly simplified. These features allow the web pages to download quickly to a browser and are much easier to read with assistive reading devices. The text only site is actually converted "on-the-fly" which means it is completely up-to-date and in-sync with the information provided on the graphic version of the web site. The link to the text only site is located in the upper left corner of each web page, in the gold bar.
