Asian Quilt Club
Come experience the traditions and culture of the Far East through quilting. Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 11am at Taylor Complex, September throug May. During meetings there will be time for a program featuring aspects of Asian culture and opportunity to quilt on indiviual pieces or a group project. Quilters of all levels are welcome.
Bridge Clubs
These fun groups meet regularly, so there’s always an opportunity to play. Bridge Club meets the first, second, third and fourth Tuesday of each month from 10am - 3pm at Pole Green Community Center.
This club does not meet on the 5th Tuesday of a month.
The club also meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 10am - 3pm at Taylor Complex
As Bridge is a game that requires four players, it is often helpful if you bring along your other players so that no one is without a partner. Advance registration is not required, but on your first visit each season, please complete or update a registration form.
Canasta Club
This easy to learn game is a relaxing way to spend time time with friends, or make new ones. Canasta Club meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 12:30-3:30pm at Pole Green Community Center. Advanced registration is not required, but on your first visit each season, please complete or update a registration form.
Card Club
Dust off those card-playing skills or get ready to learn a new game. Our self-led group has a blast every time they play. All skill levels welcom. Club meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 12:30-3:30pm at Pole Green Community Center. Advanced registration is not required, but on your first visit each season, please complete or update a registration form.
Country School Quilters
The Country School Quilters come together to enjoy, share and preserve the art of quilting. The monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday at 7pm at the Montpelier Community Center. It includes a business meeting, guest recognition, a program and show & tell. The group has 'Sit and Sew' events on the 2nd Saturday and 2nd Tuesday of each month. This is a time for individuals to come together to work on projects. The CSQ welcomes guests to attend 2 free meetings before annual membership fee of $20 is due. The Country School Quilters welcome members of all skill levels. Advanced registration is not required, but on your first visit each season, please complete or update a registration form.
Hanover Concert Band
The Hanover Concert Band was formed in 1989 and has 35-40 volunteer members. Regular band rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30pm at the Hanover Arts and Activities Center, (next to the railroad tracks, in Ashland). Membership is open to people who can read music. Students are welcome with parent and faculty approval. The band performs at county and regional events throughout the year and is conducted by Karla Bloom.

Hanover Senior Bowling League
Ages 55 and up. If you want to strike out in a new direction, join the Senior Bowling League. This group welcomes new teams in September or individuals who want to join a team ro substitute on an occasional basis throughout the season. Senior Bowling season runs from September through April/May at Hanover Lanes Bowling Center 7317 Bell Creek Road, Mechanicsville, VA. The league also has several socials during the season. Hanover Seniors
If you are 55 or better and want to experience some great programs plus make new friends, join our Senior Club. Meetings include educational programs, mini field trips, lunch bunch and guest speakers. Hanover Seniors meets the first Thursday of each month (except January, May, June, July and August) at 10am at the First Baptist Church of Ashland. Advanced registration is not required, but on your first visit each season, please complete or update a registration form.

Open Art Studio
Red, blue, green...What is your palette for the day? Grab your canvas and pack up your supplies to join toher artists for fellowship and support while working on your art projects. Meetings are held downstairs at Pole Green Community Center the thrid Thursday September - May, 12:30-3:30pm.
Pinochle Club
This club meets at Pole Green Community Center from 9am-12noon on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month. Advanced registration is not required, but on your first visit each season, please complete or update a registration form. |
