Aktion Club celebrates achievements with parade.

 

People with disabilities helping others is the driving force of one of Hanover County Parks and Recreation Therapeutic Recreation programs: The Aktion Club, co-sponsored by the Ashland Kiwanis.

This club meets once a month with the goal of learning about and helping others in the community.

The club has participated in Winterization projects as well as help with the annual Easter Egg Hunt and helped with the beautification of Pole Green Park with its care for a butterfly garden.

To celebrate the club’s achievements the club will participate in the Kiwanis’ Old Time Holiday Parade in Ashland on Sunday November 22.
