Hanover Parks & Recreation Master Plan

Hanover County Parks & Recreation has completed the process of developing a comprehensive master plan for all of its parks and facilities. The purpose of the master plan is to provide the County with a long term vision for its park system, by identifying community needs and creating a plan of action to implement needed improvements and additions to the existing parks system. The plan also includes a strategy for funding the capital improvements, and for ongoing operation and maintenance of new and existing facilities.

Approved by the Board of Supervisors on March 10, 2010, here is the Master Plan. This document will be presented to the Hanover County Planning Commission on May 20, 2010.
