Hanover Tomato Recipe Contest

The main ingredient of this contest is the tomato.  If you have an award winning recipe that you would like our judges to sample… this is the contest for you.  Local residents compete for the top honors and bragging rights every year.  All recipes must include the celebrated Hanover tomato.

Categories Include:

• Best Homemade Mild to Medium Salsa
• Best Homemade Hot to Flaming Hot Salsa
• Best Tasting Hanover Tomato – Small Varieties –2” diam. or less
• Best Tasting Hanover Tomato – Large Varieties - larger than 2” diam.
• Prettiest Hanover Tomato

Best Dressed Tomato

This craft contest is always a big hit with children 12 and under. Tomatoes for the 2010 Best Dressed TomatoContest have been generously donated by Kroger. All tomatoes will be judged by age groups on creativity, originality, and overall presentation. To decorate your Hanover Parks and Recreation "Best Dressed Tomato" come by the children's big top tent.

Little Miss/Tiny Miss Hanover Tomato

All spaces have been filled, check back early for 2011. Pageant competition will take place prior to Tomato Festival and winners will be announced on the Entertainment Stage during the event.
