Rabies Vaccination Clinic At Gander Mountain

Hanover County Animal Control will hold a rabies vaccination clinic on Saturday, November 7, at Gander Mountain, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Gander Mountain is located at 10150 Lakeridge Parkway near the Home Depot.

Vaccines will be administered at a cost of $7 per dog or cat, significantly less than you would pay normally when taking your pet to the veterinarian for a shot. The veterinarian will administer the shots at your vehicle without you having to bring your pet inside.

All dogs and cats are required by law to be vaccinated at four months of age. You also must have tags and a valid license proving the vaccination. Rabies is a growing health concern in Hanover County, with 24 animals having been confirmed as having rabies so far this year, including four domestic cats.

The next Hanover County Animal Control rabies vaccination clinic will be held on Saturday, December 5, at the Mechanicsville Fire Station.
