Train Day Held This Saturday
The Ashland Branch of the Pamunkey Regional Library will host part of the activities when the Town celebrates its 7th annual “Train Day on the Tracks” this Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be numerous activities and music for the children at the library, including train rides and a giant train bouncy. There will also be a Lionel train layout and train memorabilia. Matthew Dodd will sing railroad songs at scheduled times throughout the day and the Friends of the Library will sell cider, cookies and other items.
There will also be a number of events at the Hanover Arts and Activities Center throughout the day and railroad blues and ballads will be performed by Don Chappelle at Ashland Coffee and Tea. Trolley rides will be available to get you from place to place.
