Pet-Centered Holiday Event Offered
On Saturday, Dec. 19, the Hanover County Departments of Animal Control and Parks & Recreation are combining to present a special pet-centered holiday event. Come have your pet’s picture taken with Santa between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on December 19 at the Parks & Recreation main office, located at 13017 Taylor Complex Lane, Ashland. A $5 donation is being requested for “Pictures with Santa”; this donation will go towards helping the animals at the Animal Pound. A “Santa Paws Tree” will be on display in the foyer of the Parks & Recreation main office. Food, treats and toy donations are being accepted at the Santa Paws Tree through December 19. Please help the animals waiting to be adopted at Hanover Animal Control have a happy holiday season by leaving your donation under the Santa Paws Tree. Office hours are 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday.
