Superintendent
The Superintendent is appointed by the Pamunkey Regional Jail Authority board to be the Chief Executive authority within the jail. He is responsible for implementing executive policies, which are developed by senior jail officials. The Superintendent also prepares and presents the annual jail budget to the Authority board members. The Superintendent has final authority over all sworn and civilian employees, and is responsible for the overall management of the jail.

Deputy Superintendent
The Deputy Superintendent exercises authority in the day-to-day operation of the jail. She provides guidance to the Captains of the Security, Support Services, and Operations Divisions to ensure efficient jail operations, and also directly supervises the facility Information Technology, Internal Affairs, and Medical Departments. The Deputy Superintendent is also responsible for ensuring the goals and objectives set forth by the Superintendent are met. She reports directly to the Superintendent and assumes command in the absence of the Superintendent.

Support Services Division Commander
The Captain of Support Services exercises authority over all Inmate Services personnel in the day to day operations of the jail. Support Services area of responsibility covers Accreditation, Chaplaincy, Food Service, Hearings, Inmate Grievances, Mailroom, Quartermaster, Staff Training, Transportation, Work Force, and Work Release.

Operations Division Commander
The Captain of Operations exercises authority over all personnel who oversee the day to day affairs of the jail. Operations area of responsibility covers Objective Classification, the Local Inmate Data System (LIDS), facility Maintenance, Inmate Programs, Records, and Visitation.

Security Division Commander
The Captain of Security exercises authority over all Security Lieutenants, Sergeants, and Jail Officers in the day to day security operations of the jail. The Captain of Security monitors the functions of security in the Central Control, Housing Units, Perimeter Control, and Roving Patrols. The Security Division is directly responsible for the safety, security, and order of the inmates and the institution.
