Adopt-A-Highway Maps
In an effort to assist those groups who desire to adopt a highway,
street maps have been provided that identify all County roads and
those roads in the County that have already been adopted by a volunteer
group. Roads already adopted have been identified in red. The maps
have been produced by Election District as a convenience to better
help you identify a road in your community.
Click on your Election District to view the map. The maps are provided
as Adobe pdf files, which allow you to pan and zoom in on the map
using Adobe Acrobat to view the information more clearly. Simply
look on the map to identify a street by name and then review the
Street Name/State Route Number
List to determine if the road is State maintained (public) and
the applicable State Route Number. When filling out the adopt-a-highway
application on the VDOT site, you must have the State Route number.
To adopt a street noted as being in the Town of Ashland, please
contact the Town offices at 804-730-6024.
To review detailed information in a spreadsheet format about an
adopted road, including the precise stretch of road and sponsoring
organization please refer to The Adopted
Roads List.
