Adopt-A-Highway Street Name/State Route Number Lists

After your organization has identified the road, or portion thereof, that you will be applying to maintain under the VDOT Adopt-A-Highway program, you will need to determine the State Route Number of the street you plan to adopt (the VDOT application requires a State Route Number). The County has provided two types of cross-reference lists to assist you in identifying the State Route Number. The list will provide several types of references: the State Route Number; private roads; roads in the Town of Ashland; or roads where you need to contact the local VDOT office at 804-752-5511 to get a State Route Number (the County has not been provided a state route number as yet). Private roads are not eligible under this program. If you desire to adopt a road in the Town of Ashland, please contact the Town at 804-730-6024.
